Hyaluronic Acid: A complex sugar molecule occurring naturally in the body, hyaluronic acid hydrates by drawing water into the outer layers from deep within the skin. It holds up to 1,000 times its weight in water, and leaves skin softer, plumper, and smoother. Hyaluronic acid is a type of glycosaminoglycan (sugar molecule) that attracts moisture from the environment and draws that moisture into the skin’s upper layers. Hyaluronic acid can help to improve moisture retention and may help other ingredients to perform better.
Sea Buckthorn Oil: Contains over 190 nutrients and phytonutrients. Its Vitamin C content is 12 times higher than that of an orange. The seed and fruit oil are rich in nutrients such as carotenoids, tocotrienols, and tocopherols. They are loaded with antioxidants like phenols, terpenes, and glucosides; vitamins A, C, and E; beta-carotene; plant sterols. Extremely high in trace elements such as copper, iron, selenium, and manganese. It is the only plant source that contains omega 3, 6, 7, and 9. Sea buckthorn oil supports inflammation response to assist skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema by promoting tissue rejuvenation in the skin and helps promote brighter skin, reducing dark spots.
Raspberry seed oil possesses a high proportion of Vitamin E, vitamin A and omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids and has anti-inflammatory properties useful in the treatment of eczema, psoriasis, gingivitis, rashes and other skin conditions.
Zinc oxide is a physical sunscreen that can help protect the skin against the sun's UVA and UVB rays. It works by forming a physical barrier to UV light and reflecting the sun's rays away from the skin. Zinc oxide has a low known risk of skin irritation.
