The standard protocol for optimal results from all Derma 2.0 peels is 5 sessions, once per week. Before using any Derma 2.0 peels, ensure the skin is perfectly cleansed and degreased. Apply the Derma 2.0 Degreasing solution to the area to be treated, avoiding the eye area and mucous membranes. Always let it sit for 30 seconds. The laying time, number of applications and the layers to obtain results of all Derma 2.0 chemical peels are indicative and may vary depending on the severity of the imperfections being treated. After the Derma 2.0 peel treatment, apply two layers of Derma 2.0 Post Peeling Neutralising solution.

Pyruvic acid peel skin chemical peel for acne with pyruvic acid derma purifying peeling – Acne is one of the most common dermatological diseases, whose pathophysiology is characterized by an abnormal exfoliation and keratinization in the hair follicles resulting from an increased production of sebum which favors in most cases the proliferation of pathogens such as Propionibacterium acnes. From the point of view of pathological anatomy, the typical lesions that can be found are represented by comedones, or by a collection of keratin and sebum in the pilosebaceous duct. Specifically, we classify two types of comedones:
open comedones: commonly called blackheads, when the collection of keratin and sebum in the pilosebaceous duct has no “plug” and the contents, oxidizing, appear black;
closed comedones: commonly called whiteheads, when the collection of keratin and sebum in the pilosebaceous duct is covered by a skin covering.
Composition
Pyruvic acid peel is a naturally occurring alpha-keto acid (eg apples, fermented fruit and vinegar). It has an acantholytic action with which it decreases the adhesion between the corneocytes and thins the stratum corneum. It is a caustic with high lipophilic properties, thanks to which it is able to emulsify itself perfectly with fats, oils and lipids. Thanks to this peculiar property it is used in the treatment of active acne: penetrating deeply into the pilosebaceous follicles, it exerts its bacteriostatic, keratolytic and comedolytic properties thus facilitating the removal of the keratin plug. Being sebostatic, it reduces the oily appearance of the epidermis, making it also suitable for the treatment of hyperseborrhea. At the dermal level, it stimulates the formation of new collagen, glycoproteins and elastic fibers. Not least, it carries out treating and preventive properties against post-traumatic / inflammatory hyperpigmentation;
Salicylic acid is a beta-hydroxy acid obtained from willow (salix alba) obtained from the enzymatic hydrolysis of salicilin. It is an organic, colorless acid with a crystalline structure that is not very soluble in water. It has keratolytic properties (breaks the keratin of the corneodesmosomes making the bonds between the lipids weaker) favouring exfoliation, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory;
Lactic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid obtained from the fermentation of milk. It has molecules dimensionally larger than glycolic acid so it can reach less depth, thus making it less aggressive. It stimulates the production of ceramides (essential lipids to maintain the correct architecture of the skin) and has hygroscopic capabilities, i.e. it is able to draw water from the deeper layers. It performs a keratolytic and pH rebalancing action. It is indicated in cases of skin dryness and dehydration;
Azelaic acid is a saturated dicarboxylic acid produced by the Malassezia Furfur fungus which is constitutionally present on the skin (other sources are barley, wheat, rye, rancid olive oil). It has depigmenting, bacteriostatic and bactericidal, antiradical and comedolytic properties.
