L-PROLINE Together with glycine, this amino acid is the main constituent of collagen (niacin and vitamin C are used as synthesis cofactors). L-HYDROXYPROLINE It is the proline which undergoes a post synthesis modification (hydroxylation); contributes to the production of collagen.
