Product Overview:
Elocon contains Mometasone Furoate 0.1%, a potent corticosteroid used to treat inflammatory skin conditions. It works by reducing inflammation, redness, and itching associated with conditions like eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis. Elocon is available as both a cream and an ointment, providing effective relief for dry, inflamed skin. It is designed to be used on small areas of the skin for short-term treatment.

Indications:
Elocon is prescribed for the treatment of inflammatory skin conditions, including:

• Eczema

• Psoriasis

• Dermatitis (including atopic and contact dermatitis)

• Allergic skin reactions

• Other conditions where topical corticosteroids are indicated.

Dosage and Administration:

• Apply a thin layer of Elocon Cream or Ointment to the affected area once daily, as directed by your healthcare provider.

• Gently massage the cream or ointment into the skin until it is absorbed.

• Treatment should be continued for the shortest duration necessary to control symptoms. If symptoms do not improve or worsen, consult your healthcare provider.

• Avoid using Elocon on large areas of the body or for prolonged periods unless specifically directed by your healthcare provider.

Warnings and Precautions:

• Elocon should only be used under the supervision of a healthcare professional.

• Avoid using Elocon on broken, infected, or ulcerated skin, or near the eyes, mouth, or mucous membranes.

• Prolonged use or use on large areas of the body can lead to skin thinning, delayed wound healing, and other side effects.

• If you experience excessive irritation, burning, or worsening of the skin condition, discontinue use and consult your healthcare provider.

• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your healthcare provider before using Elocon.

Side Effects:
Common side effects may include mild skin irritation, burning, or itching at the site of application. Prolonged use of potent corticosteroids may lead to skin thinning, stretch marks, and delayed wound healing.
