Zolmitriptan Orodispersible 2.5mg – Effective Treatment for Migraine Relief
Zolmitriptan Orodispersible 2.5mg is a prescription medication designed to treat migraines once they occur. It belongs to a group of medicines called triptans, which are specifically used to relieve the symptoms of acute migraine attacks, including severe headache, nausea, and sensitivity to light and sound.
How It Works:
Zolmitriptan works by narrowing the blood vessels around the brain, which helps reduce the swelling that causes migraine headaches. It also blocks the release of certain substances in the brain that contribute to the migraine symptoms. By acting quickly, Zolmitriptan helps to relieve the pain and other symptoms associated with a migraine, offering effective relief within a short period.
How to Use:
Adults: Place one tablet on your tongue, and allow it to dissolve in your mouth without the need for water.
Timing: Take Zolmitriptan at the first sign of a migraine. If your migraine returns after the first dose, you can take another tablet after at least 2 hours.
Dosage: Do not take more than 2 tablets in a 24-hour period.
If you don’t experience relief after the first dose, or if your symptoms worsen, contact your doctor for further advice.
Zolmitriptan is intended to treat an existing migraine and should not be used to prevent migraines from occurring.
Active Ingredient:
Zolmitriptan 2.5mg – A selective serotonin receptor agonist (triptan), which works by constricting blood vessels and reducing inflammation in the brain, targeting migraine symptoms.
