Product Overview:
Vaniqa Cream contains Eflornithine 13.9%, a topical cream used to reduce unwanted facial hair in women. It works by inhibiting the growth of hair, making it an effective treatment for women with excessive facial hair (hirsutism). Eflornithine interferes with an enzyme needed for hair growth, resulting in a noticeable reduction in hair growth over time. Vaniqa is not a permanent hair removal solution but helps to slow down hair regrowth, providing smoother skin and improved cosmetic appearance.
Indications:
Vaniqa Cream is prescribed for the treatment of:
Excessive facial hair (hirsutism) in women. It is used to reduce hair growth on the face and is typically applied to the chin, upper lip, and other areas of the face where excess hair growth is a concern.
Dosage and Administration:
Apply a thin layer of Vaniqa Cream to the affected areas of the face twice daily, at least 8 hours apart (e.g., morning and evening).
Gently massage the cream into the skin until it is fully absorbed.
Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the cream.
It may take up to 4-8 weeks of consistent use before you notice significant results, and treatment should continue as prescribed by your healthcare provider.
If hair growth persists after several months of use, consult your healthcare provider for further evaluation.
Warnings and Precautions:
Vaniqa Cream should only be used under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
Avoid applying the cream to broken, irritated, or damaged skin.
Do not use Vaniqa around the eyes, lips, or mucous membranes.
If you experience irritation, redness, or a rash at the site of application, discontinue use and consult your healthcare provider.
Vaniqa Cream is not a permanent solution for hair removal and must be used continuously to maintain its effects.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your healthcare provider before using Vaniqa Cream.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include mild skin irritation, redness, or a stinging sensation at the site of application.
