Weight Loss Pens FAQs

Do I get any needles?

We provide 4 needles with every Mounjaro Kwikpen. If you lose or damage your needle, you can buy a box from your local chemist. Just ask for 32G, 4mm needles. Other brands of weight loss pens have needles already.

Why is my pen not working?

Please read the instructions in the box before starting your weight loss journey with these pens. There is a specific way and steps to administer these correctly. Please also ensure you delicately twist the needles onto the Mounjaro pens, straight on. If the needle isn't screwed on properly, the liquid cannot release. Your first point of call is to contact your prescriber or practitioner. If they can't resolve the issue, please contact the manufacturer and submit an MHRA Yellow Card Scheme. You can find more information about that here: https://yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk/

Why has my pen suddenly stopped working?

It's unlikely that pens stop working after a dose(s) has already been successful. It's common for dust, lint or liquid to get stuck. It's also common for Mounjaro pens, that the needle hasn't been screwed on properly. Please use your guide within the box for help. Your first point of call is then to contact your prescriber or practitioner. If they can't resolve the issue, please contact the manufacturer and submit an MHRA Yellow Card Scheme. You can find more information about that here: https://yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk/

Can I get a new pen if this one is faulty?

If the box has been opened, the medicine is considered as used and cannot be returned or refunded. Your first point of call is to contact your prescriber or practitioner. If they can't resolve the issue, please contact the manufacturer and submit an MHRA Yellow Card Scheme. You can find more information about that here: https://yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk/.

You can then ask your practitioner/presciber to submit another prescription and order; this is a legal obligation. we cannot provide a new pen without a new prescription.
