Metronidazole 400mg – Powerful Antibiotic for Bacterial and Parasitic Infections
Metronidazole 400mg is an antibiotic medication that is used to treat a variety of infections caused by bacteria and parasites. It belongs to the class of drugs known as nitroimidazoles and works by inhibiting the growth of harmful microorganisms, stopping them from multiplying and causing infection.
Metronidazole 400mg is commonly used to treat infections such as bacterial vaginosis, rosacea, intestinal infections, and skin infections caused by anaerobic bacteria. It is also effective in treating certain parasitic infections like amoebiasis and giardiasis.
How It Works:
Metronidazole works by targeting the DNA of bacteria and parasites. It interferes with their ability to reproduce, ultimately killing the microorganisms and stopping the infection. Duration: The length of treatment will vary depending on the type of infection. Your doctor will determine the appropriate treatment duration, but typical courses range from 5 to 10 days.
