Product Overview:
LMX4 is a topical anesthetic cream containing Lidocaine 4%, a local anesthetic that works by temporarily numbing the skin. It is used for the relief of minor pain and discomfort associated with certain skin procedures, such as minor dermatological treatments, cosmetic procedures (e.g., laser hair removal or tattooing), and for reducing pain during needle insertions (such as injections or blood tests). LMX4 provides fast, effective numbing of the skin for up to an hour.
Indications:
LMX4 is indicated for the topical relief of pain associated with:
Minor dermatological procedures (e.g., laser treatment, waxing, or tattooing).
Needle insertions (e.g., blood tests, vaccinations, or intravenous lines).
Minor skin irritations and discomforts caused by conditions like insect bites or sunburn.
Dosage and Administration:
Apply a thick layer of LMX4 Cream to the affected area.
For most procedures, it is recommended to leave the cream on for 15-30 minutes (depending on the area and procedure) to achieve maximum numbing effect.
After application, cover the treated area with a dressing if needed, or as directed by your healthcare provider.
Wash your hands after applying the cream.
Avoid applying LMX4 to broken, irritated, or damaged skin.
Warnings and Precautions:
LMX4 is for external use only.
Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, or broken skin.
Do not use if you are allergic to lidocaine or any other ingredients in the cream.
If you experience skin irritation, redness, or swelling, discontinue use and consult your healthcare provider.
Not recommended for use in infants or young children unless prescribed by a healthcare provider.
If large areas of the skin are treated, or the cream is used inappropriately (e.g., for prolonged periods or on large areas), consult a healthcare provider.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your healthcare provider before using LMX4.
