Product Overview:
Epiduo Gel combines Adapalene 0.1% (a retinoid) and Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5%, making it a powerful treatment for acne. Adapalene works by regulating the skin's cell turnover to help prevent clogged pores and reduce acne lesions, while Benzoyl Peroxide has antibacterial properties that target the bacteria responsible for acne. Together, they help reduce both inflammation and the formation of acne lesions, including pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads.
Indications:
Epiduo Gel is prescribed for the topical treatment of moderate acne vulgaris in individuals aged 12 and older. It is used to treat inflammatory and non-inflammatory acne, such as:
Pimples
Blackheads
Whiteheads
Dosage and Administration:
Apply a thin layer of Epiduo Gel to the affected areas once daily, preferably in the evening after cleansing and drying the skin.
Avoid applying to sensitive areas such as the eyes, lips, and mucous membranes.
Gently rub the gel into the skin until it is absorbed.
Wash your hands after application.
Begin treatment gradually to minimize irritation. If excessive dryness or irritation occurs, reduce application frequency and consult your healthcare provider.
Warnings and Precautions:
Epiduo Gel is for external use only.
Avoid direct contact with eyes, lips, and mucous membranes.
Use sunscreen and limit sun exposure, as Epiduo may increase your skin's sensitivity to sunlight.
