Popular questions

How soon will I see results?

Results from EllaOne 30mg, a morning-after pill, can vary. It is most effective when taken within 24 hours after unprotected intercourse, with efficacy diminishing up to 120 hours. Many users experience the onset of their next menstrual period within one to two weeks as an indicator of effectiveness. If your period is more than a week late, consult a healthcare professional for further guidance.

How long do the results last?

The effects of EllaOne 30mg, an emergency contraceptive pill, can last up to 120 hours (five days) after unprotected intercourse. However, its effectiveness is highest when taken as soon as possible. It is essential to remember that EllaOne does not provide ongoing contraception and should not be used as a regular method of birth control. Consult a healthcare professional for tailored advice on contraception options.

Is EllaOne 30mg suitable for everyone?

EllaOne 30mg is not suitable for everyone. It is recommended for women of childbearing age who require emergency contraception within 120 hours after unprotected intercourse. However, it should be avoided by those with a known hypersensitivity to ulipristal acetate or any of its ingredients, and it's not intended for regular contraceptive use. Always consult a healthcare professional before use to ensure it's appropriate for your individual circumstances.

Are there any side effects?

EllaOne 30mg may cause side effects, including nausea, fatigue, headache, and abdominal pain. Some users may experience changes in their menstrual cycle or breast tenderness. These effects are generally mild and temporary. If you experience severe reactions or persistent symptoms, consult your healthcare provider for advice. Always discuss potential side effects with a medical professional prior to use for informed decision-making regarding emergency contraception.

Can I combine EllaOne 30mg with other treatments?

It is generally advised not to combine EllaOne 30mg with other treatments without consulting a healthcare professional. EllaOne is an emergency contraceptive designed for single use, and combining it with other medications may affect its efficacy or lead to unwanted side effects. Always seek medical advice to ensure safe and effective use of emergency contraception alongside any other treatments.

What aftercare is required?

After taking EllaOne 30mg, it's essential to monitor for any side effects, such as nausea or fatigue. Stay hydrated and rest as needed. Avoid unprotected sexual intercourse until your next menstrual cycle. If your period is more than a week late, consult a healthcare professional to rule out pregnancy. Regular follow-ups are recommended to discuss ongoing contraceptive options and ensure overall reproductive health.
