Product Overview:
Duac Once Daily Gel is a topical treatment containing Clindamycin 1% (an antibiotic) and Benzoyl Peroxide 5% (a bactericidal agent). It is used for the treatment of acne vulgaris, particularly for inflammatory acne, such as pimples and pustules. The combination of Clindamycin and Benzoyl Peroxide works by reducing the bacteria that contribute to acne, while also decreasing inflammation, reducing the number of breakouts, and preventing new ones from forming.

Indications:
Duac Once Daily Gel is prescribed for the treatment of:

• Moderate acne vulgaris in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older. It is specifically effective for inflammatory acne lesions such as pimples, pustules, and nodules.

Dosage and Administration:

• Apply a thin layer of Duac Once Daily Gel to the affected area once daily, preferably in the evening.

• Wash and dry your face before applying the gel.

• Gently massage the gel into the skin until it is fully absorbed.

• Avoid applying Duac Gel to broken, irritated, or sunburned skin.

• Use consistently for optimal results, as instructed by your healthcare provider. Typically, results are seen after 2-4 weeks of use.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose. If irritation occurs, reduce the frequency of application or discontinue use and consult your healthcare provider.

Warnings and Precautions:

• Duac Once Daily Gel is for external use only.

• Avoid applying to the eyes, mouth, mucous membranes, or broken skin.

• Benzoyl Peroxide can bleach hair and fabrics, so take care when applying the gel near hair or clothing.

• If you experience excessive dryness, redness, or peeling, reduce the frequency of application or discontinue use.

• Use sunscreen while using this product, as Benzoyl Peroxide can increase skin sensitivity to sunlight.

• If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, consult your healthcare provider before using Duac Once Daily Gel.

• If acne worsens or does not improve after several weeks of use, consult your healthcare provider.

Side Effects:
Common side effects include mild skin irritation, redness, burning, stinging, or dryness at the site of application. Rare but more serious side effects can include allergic reactions such as swelling, rash, or severe skin irritation.
