What is Denela 5% Cream?

How to use this product
Always use Denela 5% Cream exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / pharmacist has told you. Remove the outer packaging and squeeze the tube slowly to release the desired amount of product. Apply the cream to the chosen area of skin. Do not rub in.
After applying the cream, you’ll need to cover the area in a dressing or a plastic wrap. This dressing should be removed either by yourself or a medical professional just before your procedure starts. Refer to the patient information leaflet for information on how much cream to use - this will depend on what you’re using the cream for.
How do lidocaine and prilocaine numb the skin?
The active ingredients in Denela 5% Cream are lidocaine and prilocaine. These are types of medicines called local anaesthetics, which numb the skin by stopping the nerves in the area of application from sending pain signals to your brain.
