9. Emergency procedures and referral
9.1 During Training, Delegates must comply with the emergency procedures, infection-control measures and referral pathways specified by the tutor and the training venue.
9.2 Following Training, you are responsible for maintaining appropriate emergency arrangements and referral pathways within your own practice.

9.4 You are responsible for ensuring that you use current guidance and seek appropriate clinical or emergency assistance when required.
10. Clinical governance documentation
10.1 We may amend Clinical Governance Documentation, educational materials, competency requirements and recommended procedures where reasonably necessary to reflect:
changes in legislation or regulation;
updated clinical evidence or professional guidance;
identified safety concerns;

behaves in an unsafe, abusive, disruptive or unprofessional manner;
fails to follow reasonable instructions;
creates a risk to a patient, tutor or another Delegate;
breaches confidentiality;
appears unfit to participate; or
otherwise materially breaches these Terms.
11.5 Removal under clause 11.4 will not normally entitle the Delegate to a refund.
12. Cancellation, postponement and non-attendance
12.1 Delegate cancellations, transfers and requests to postpone are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
12.2 If you do not complete online Training or fail to complete required elements without prior written agreement, fees paid may be forfeited to the extent permitted by law and our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

a transfer to an alternative date; or
a refund of the fees paid for the cancelled Training.

17.3 We may withhold certification or require further training, evidence, supervision or assessment where the required standard has not been achieved.
17.4 A certificate records successful completion of the specified Training at the relevant time. It does not constitute a licence to practise or guarantee continuing competence.

18.3 Any permission to use AcuV branding is limited, revocable and subject to the applicable brand guidelines.
18.4 We may withdraw permission to use our branding where there is material non-compliance, misleading advertising, unsafe practice or misuse of our intellectual property.

Refunds and Returns Policy
Effective date: 10th August 2026
This Refunds and Returns Policy applies to training, digital content and physical products purchased from AcuV through www.acuv.co.uk.
Nothing in this policy affects any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
1. Online training and digital content
Our online courses and training materials are digital content made available through the customer’s online profile.
By purchasing an online course and requesting or agreeing to receive immediate access, you expressly consent to the digital content being supplied before the end of any applicable 14-day cancellation period. You also acknowledge that your right to cancel will be lost once access to the course or digital content has been added to your profile.
Accordingly, once an online course has been added to your profile, activated or otherwise made available to you, the purchase is final and no refund, cancellation, exchange or account credit will be available, except where:
the digital content is faulty, inaccessible or not as described;
AcuV is unable to supply the purchased training;
AcuV agrees otherwise in writing; or
a refund or other remedy is required by law.
The restriction applies whether or not you have logged in, started, completed, downloaded or otherwise used the course after access has been provided.
Before completing your purchase, please check that the course is suitable for your qualifications, professional requirements and intended scope of practice.
2. Physical products
If you purchase a physical product online, you may cancel your order by notifying us within 14 days of receiving the product, without providing a reason.
After notifying us that you wish to cancel, you must return the product within a further 14 days.
To request a return, email [email protected] and provide:
your name;
your order number;
details of the product being returned; and
the reason for the return, if the product is faulty, damaged or incorrect.
Please do not return a product until you have contacted us and received the appropriate return instructions.
3. Condition of returned products
Returned products should be:
unused and in perfect, resaleable condition;
complete and undamaged;
returned with all accessories, instructions and components; and
returned in their original packaging where reasonably possible.
You may inspect a product to the same extent that you would reasonably be permitted to inspect it in a shop.
We may reduce the refund to reflect any loss in value caused by unnecessary handling, use, damage, missing components or inadequate return packaging.
Products that have been used beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect them may not qualify for a full refund.
4. Products that cannot be returned following a change of mind
Unless faulty or not as described, we cannot accept returns of:
sealed products that are unsuitable for return for health, hygiene or infection-control reasons once unsealed;
products made or personalised to your specifications;
perishable products;
products that have been inseparably mixed with another item after delivery; or
any other product excluded from cancellation rights by applicable law.
Any applicable exclusion will be identified in the product description or during checkout where reasonably possible.
5. Return costs
Unless the product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, you are responsible for the cost and risk of returning it to us.
We recommend using a tracked and appropriately insured delivery service. AcuV is not responsible for a return until it has been received.
Where a product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, AcuV will reimburse reasonable return costs or provide an appropriate return method.
6. Refunds for returned products
If your return is approved, we will refund:
the price paid for the returned product; and
where required by law, the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option.
Any additional amount paid for express, premium or another enhanced delivery service will not normally be refunded.
Refunds will be made using the original payment method unless expressly agreed otherwise. We will process the refund within 14 days of receiving the returned product or, if earlier, receiving satisfactory evidence that it has been sent back.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the product or satisfactory evidence of its return.
7. Faulty, damaged or incorrect products
Please inspect products as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
If a product arrives faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, contact [email protected] promptly with your order details and, where reasonably requested, photographs showing the issue.
Depending on the circumstances and your applicable legal rights, we may offer a refund, repair or replacement. The 14-day change-of-mind period does not replace or limit your statutory rights relating to faulty or misdescribed products.
Normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, improper storage, use contrary to instructions or unauthorised alteration will not normally be treated as a product fault.
8. Orders cancelled before dispatch or course access
If you wish to cancel a physical product before it is dispatched, contact us as soon as possible. We will try to stop the dispatch, but this cannot be guaranteed.
A training purchase may be cancelled only if access has not yet been added to the customer’s profile and the cancellation is permitted under the applicable booking terms or required by law.
9. Business customers
Most AcuV training is intended for healthcare professionals and other practitioners acting for purposes connected with their trade, business, craft or profession.
Where you purchase wholly or mainly for business purposes, consumer cancellation rights may not apply. Returns, cancellations and refunds will instead be governed by this policy, the applicable AcuV Terms and Conditions and any separately agreed written terms.
