Dermaplane

Using a surgical scalpel, dermaplaning provides deep exfoliation by removing dead skin cells from the top layer of the skin. This gentle ‘shaving’ of the skin surface also renives fine vellus hair (fuzz) from the face, making the skin look and feel smoother, brighter, and more radiant. Dermaplaning is only done on the face and does not affect or remove brow hair. It is suitable for those with dry, mature or congested/problematic skin who want clearer, smoother skin. It is also ideal for those who cannot undergo abrasive forms of exfoliation like microdermabrasion; such as those with very sensitive skin, redness, rosacea, visible facial veins, or other contra-indications e.g., pregnant clients. A course of treatments is recommended, preferably monthly – with little to no downtime so clients can enjoy the benefits right away. You will learn: Review of basic facial skincare treatments (online pre-course learning) Skin anatomy & physiology (online pre-course learning) Health & safety aspects of these treatments (online pre-course learning) Treatment process Homecare / aftercare advice for these treatments
