It has been two weeks since I've had my first Profhilo treatment and I am already seeing results. Dara made me feel comfortable and explained the whole process, she continuously asked if I was ok and if I needed a break. However, whilst I cannot say the treatment is pain free, I was able to continue without breaks. Dara was professional throughout, she knew about the benefits of product and explained to me about after care. Before the treatment I was offered numbing cream, and was told it would take 15-20 minutes to work, but would not make the process pain free. I opted to use the cream, and Dara applied it to each point of injection. After the treatment, as expected there were bumps on my face at each injection site, but they do go down. My face also felt tingly for a while due to using the numbing cream. I had the treatment on a Saturday, and was concerned that when I went back to work on Monday people at work would notice my face was swollen/bumps etc. However, by then my face had settled quite a bit, and I did not receive any comments or any 'funny looks'. I had a slight bruise at one of the injection sites (which Dara had warned me might occur), but that didn't get noticed by others either. The main outcome from the treatment I am experiencing so far is a brighter skin complexion. In the past, my skin appearance has been quite dull, leading me to wear some makeup to work. Since having Profhilo I have not worn makeup to work once! I would also say that some of my fine lines have reduced. This is the first injectable treatment I have had, I choose Dara due to her nursing background/experience. I am looking forward to my second treatment!
