Originally from South Yorkshire, I now live in Long Marston just outside Stratford-upon-Avon, where I have a Purpose-built, fully licensed studio. I have over 20 Years’ of experience in the beauty industry, specialising in permanent makeup, microblading, and cosmetic and medical tattooing. I split my time working between my own clinic and working for Karen Betts Professional, who are the largest training provider of permanent makeup in the UK. I get to teach students how to do what I love, at Karen’s Milton Keynes Training Academy. I love to watch our students grow and begin their own journeys into the world of permanent makeup. I absolutely love my job and can’t imagine doing anything else. I’m so passionate about helping my clients feel better about themselves. Each client is individual and I create a bespoke treatment for each one, taking into account my client’s age, lifestyle, skin type, tone and hair colour. My ethos is ‘less is always more’ – let’s keep it looking as natural as possible. I fell in love with permanent makeup myself after having my own brows created by one of Karen’s Team. It’s the best decision I ever made, not only did it boost my self-confidence, but it changed the trajectory of my career and, in turn, my life for the better. It is such a fulfilling job.
