I almost want to gatekeep this place because selfishly, I don’t want appointments becoming impossible to get 😅 But on the drive home I realised that’s probably not fair to people who may feel exactly like I did. I was originally having treatment through a medical clinic, but when they stopped offering it, they recommend Liza. I sat on her details for months. I looked at the website and wrongly made assumptions that it would feel like a typical beauty salon experience and I wasn’t sure it was for me. Eventually, I messaged her (while she was actually on holiday!) and she still took the time to reply, which I thought was above and beyond and set the tone straight away. We sat down for what should have been a 20/30 minute consultation, and I think I was there for about an hour and a half because I asked every question. Within minutes, I could tell this wasn’t someone repeating things they’d memorised from a course, she genuinely understands skin. The way she explained things came from passion, experience and real depth of knowledge. What I appreciated most was the honesty. There was no upselling at all. In fact, she talked me out of treatments I didn’t need, encouraged me to stick with the skincare brand I’m already using, and focused on what would genuinely help. I had a chemical peel on my last visit (which came with a lovely massage!), and for the first time in ages I left feeling excited about looking after my skin instead of overwhelmed by it. I’ve also had laser patch tests, and as someone who can feel very self-conscious about their body, Liza made me feel completely at ease. She made things feel normal, never awkward, never judged. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, genuinely kind, fairly priced, and clearly passionate about what she does. You can tell she really cares about skin. I’ve already booked back in for another chemical peel, microneedling and laser treatment, purely because she’s made me feel comfortable, informed and looked after. If you’re nervous, unsure, self-conscious, or have been putting off booking somewhere because you want someone who truly knows skin and genuinely cares and that isn’t going to sell you something that won’t work, I can’t recommend Liza enough. You’ll be happy here. 🙂
