Chemical peeling with firming and non-photosensitizing action. Adjuvant in the treatment of ptosis, very superficial wrinkles, and uneven texture. Suitable for all types of skin and in all seasons of the year. Leave on for between 20-40 minutes.
50ml dropper bottle with pipette.
The standard protocol for optimal results from all Derma 2.0 peels is 5 sessions, once per week. Before using any Derma 2.0 peels, ensure the skin is perfectly cleansed and degreased. Apply the Derma 2.0 Degreasing solution to the area to be treated, avoiding the eye area and mucous membranes. Always let it sit for 30 seconds. The laying time, number of applications and the layers to obtain results of all Derma 2.0 chemical peels are indicative and may vary depending on the severity of the imperfections being treated. After the Derma 2.0 peel treatment, apply two layers of Derma 2.0 Post Peeling Neutralising solution.
Mandelic acid gentle exfoliation peel – Mandelic acid peel is an alpha hydroxy acid derived from bitter almonds that performs its exfoliating action at the level of the most superficial layer of the skin as a toning treatment. This particular peeling accelerates cell turnover by breaking the small cohesive bonds between the epithelial cells of the stratum corneum which is delicately removed, bringing to the surface the innermost skin layers with a more compact and luminous appearance.
It is often used in the treatment of dullness, wrinkles and very superficial lines, irregular texture especially sensitive. However, thanks to its molecular structure, unlike other chemical peels, Mandelic acid has the advantage of not being photosensitizing and therefore usable in all seasons.
Furthermore, despite being distinguished by its high exfoliating capacity, Mandelic acid is less aggressive, with completely limited or absent secondary effects.
Another feature that distinguishes it from other exfoliating agents is the size of its molecule: greater than other peelings (such as, for example, glycolic and pyruvic) and this results in a lower penetration capacity, with mostly superficial efficacy. .
For this reason, Mandelic acid peel is used in conjunction with other caustics, such as salicylic acid or azelaic acid.
The lower induced photosensitivity, lower aggressiveness and its lower penetration capacity, identify it as a light intensity peeling, ideal for all skin types (from lighter to darker skins).
Given its characteristics, Mandelic acid peeling is used in the treatment of:
Loss of tone: with the passing of age, fibroblasts slow down their activity, resulting in a decrease in the production of collagen and elastin. By decreasing the number and size of structural proteins, there is a real thinning of the dermis with loss of tone (decrease in collagen) and elasticity (decrease in elastin). Mandelic acid stimulates the activity of fibroblasts in the synthesis of new collagen and elastin, restoring the levels of the dermal structural components;
Very superficial lines and wrinkles: alpha hydroxy acids accelerate cell turnover and through exfoliation remove dead cells present on the epidermis. Mandelic acid also helps to strengthen collagen, one of the building blocks of the skin’s support network. These factors help prevent the process leading to wrinkle formation;
Irregular texture: the exfoliation induced by Mandelic acid leads to the removal of dead surface cells, by removing this superficial layer, the skin appears more compact and luminous;
With its continuous application, the result is that of a visually smoother skin and a more homogeneous texture. This peeling is also called gentle exfoliation mandelic acid peel “the summer peeling” as it is not photosensitizing. It acts without causing burning and erythema on all skin types and ethnicities, with shutter speeds that can vary from 15 minutes to several hours.
